Friends of Kinneil to hold AGM

THE group set up to promote Kinneil Estate in Bo'ness will hold its first annual general meeting next week.

The Friends of Kinneil will report on a busy year which saw volunteers raise the profile of the historic park through campaigns, promotional work and events.

The AGM will be held on Thursday, May 31, upstairs in Bo'ness Library, from 7.30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Jack Sanderson, the former museums' boss of Falkirk Council.

Chairman Adrian Mahoney said: "We’ll report on a busy and successful first year, adopt a new committee and look forward to the year ahead, including plans to become a charity.

"Our guest speaker, Jack Sanderson, will talk about the early work to set up Kinneil Museum. The evening will end with food and refreshments and the opportunity to network with Friends’ members."

Anyone interested in joining the Friends can email: info@kinneil.org.uk - or write to the Membership Secretary, Maria Ford, at 16 Craigallan Park, Bo’ness. A small membership charge is payable.
