Scotland's oldest housing association celebrates its success
MSP Ross Finnie is set to join representatives from Scotland’s oldest housing association, Viewpoint, to help launch a new book charting the charity’s history.
Profits from the new publication, “Exceeding Expectations”, will raise funds for the Edinburgh-based group. The Association owns 1400 properties and three care homes across the Lothians and Fife.
Mr Finnie, the Lib-Dems housing spokesman, is expected to join two of Viewpoint’s oldest residents, Edinburgh 100 year-olds Dan Orr and Margaret McNeil – as well as Association representatives and invited guests - at Tuesday’s event in the Royal College of Physicians in the city. The book marks the Association's 60th anniversary.
** A press release, giving full details, will be issued on Tuesday.
** Digital photographs will also be available after the event.
