He worked for 10 years
(six as chief reporter) on The
Falkirk Herald - the biggest-selling
local weekly newspaper in Scotland. He's also written for a wide
variety of titles, from the Scotsman to the Daily Record - and
worked in radio.

ADRIAN MAHONEY,
MIPR adrian@theprstore.net
Adrian Mahoney - the PR Store's managing consultant - is an experienced journalist, manager and public relations professional.
He worked for 10 years (six as chief reporter)
on The Falkirk Herald - the biggest-selling local weekly newspaper
in Scotland. He's also written for a wide variety of titles, from
the Scotsman to the Daily Record - and worked in radio. In June
1997, Adrian joined Scottish Homes, the Government-funded national
housing agency, as a communications officer. Two years later he
joined a public relations consultancy as an account manager. He
launched The PR Store at the end of 1999.
His clients past and present include a Fortune
500 company, Sun Microsystems; Scotland's biggest public body,
Scottish Enterprise; Railtrack Scotland; Forth Valley Health Board
(now NHS Forth Valley); West Lothian Council and West Lothian
Chamber of Commerce.
Adrian is a former vice-chairman of the Institute
of Public Relations in Scotland.

Moi Ali has
been a successful freelance PR consultant for nine years, trading under
the name The Pink Anglia Public Relations Company. Specialising in public
relations, communications and marketing services for voluntary organisations,
charities, healthcare organisations and the public sector, she has over
16 years' experience in the business.
Among other
publications, Moi is the author of two books in Dorling Kindersleys
best-selling Essential Manager series of books: Marketing Effectively
and Effective PR, as well as a number of other books such as Copywriting
(Butterworth-Heinemann), Practical Marketing and PR for the Small Business
(Kogan Page), The New DIY Guide to Marketing and The DIY Guide to Public
Relations. Before becoming a freelance Moi held a number of in-house communications
roles with a High Street bank, a third world charity and a government
agency, where she was involved with media relations, internal communications,
campaigning and public affairs.
In her spare
time Moi sits on the Board of Postwatch, the Department of Trade and Industrys
postal services consumer watchdog. She is also a non-executive member
of NMC, the regulatory body for nurses, midwives and health visitors.

Linda Bruce
runs her own consultancy, PR Squared. Her current clients include
West Lothian Council and Institute Members in Scotland of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
A graduate
in communication, Linda has six years' experience in marketing and PR
consultancy and two years' experience in-house with Scottish plcs.
Linda was
formerly a senior consultant with Countrywide Porter Novelli, one of Europes
largest PR agencies, where she worked on corporate, business-to-business
and consumer campaigns for clients including The Scottish Tourist Board,
Drambuie Liqueur Company, The Dundee Partnership, Lothian Regional Council
(now City of Edinburgh Council), Forbo-Linoleum, Scottish Friendly Assurance,
Financial Times, bmi (formerly British Midland), Alba Campus Ltd and Fyfe
Ireland W.S.
Linda was latterly the sole Scottish media trainer for Countrywide Porter
Novelli. She marketed, organised and delivered media training courses
at a variety of levels, training over 150 delegates in all.
She also
worked worked in the marketing team at distiller Glenmorangie plc, and
as media liaison and marketing manager for Globespan plc, the UK's largest
independent tour operator to Canada.
Linda's particular
areas of expertise are media relations, media training and event management.
Linda is
a member of the Institute of Public Relations and currently sits on the
IPR's Scotland Group Committee.
LYNNE CROSSAN,
MIPR lynne@theprstore.net
Lynne
Crossan has over thirteen years experience within the communications
industry and for the past seven years has operated her own marketing and
communications company.
Prior
to running her own business, Lynne was an Account Director with PR Consultants
Scotland (now Weber Shandwick) where she handled a wide range of corporate
and consumer public relations programmes. Clients included Wm Low
& Co plc, Bacardi Rum, Whitbread, The Scottish Office, Scottish Enterprise,
Scottish Dairy Council and Country Club Hotels. Her background includes
a number of years working with Radio Clyde. Initially researching
and writing for Radio and also becoming involved with sponsorship and
event management.
Lynne
left Shandwick to become a Director of Chestnut Publishing Ltd and after
three years left to set up her own company, Crossan Communications, in
December 1994.
Lynne
is well known within Scotlands marketing community and is an active
member of the IPR, BACB and Lothian Quality Forum. She also regularly
attends Marketing Society and SCDI events.
Lynne is also personal manager and publicist for actress Elaine C Smith
and has been looking after Elaines appearances and interviews for
over eight years.
Lynne
was educated at Vale of Leven Academy and graduated from Glasgow College
of Technology (now Caledonian University) with a HND in Communication
Studies. Married, with two children, Lynne now lives in Edinburgh.
